GDPE Policy - Overtime

No support staff employee shall work more than forty (40) hours during any week unless the additional hours are authorized in advance by the Superintendent or required by emergency conditions. In the event of any such emergency, approval of the employee’s immediate supervisor shall be obtained in advance.

Overtime pay for time in excess of forty (40) hours of actual time worked a week will be paid only when the additional time has been authorized in advance by the Superinendent. In the event of an emergency, the Superintendent is authorized to authorize “after the fact” the additional hours reasonably required to meet the emergency conditions.
